greeenNXT specializes in the serial refurbishment (SerSan) of existing buildings. With a focus on sustainability and efficiency, the greeenNXT team develops solutions for the energy-efficient refurbishment of residential and non-residential buildings. The aim is to significantly reduce energy consumption, particularly in buildings from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, and to convert them to renewable energies. Together with Terhalle Holzbau GmbH from North Rhine-Westphalia, serial refurbishment in timber construction is being planned and implemented. The existing buildings are given a new shell made of prefabricated façade and roof elements, which are delivered to the construction site ready for installation, including insulation, weathering layer and new windows. There, they are fitted to the existing façade in a minimally invasive process while the building remains in operation. The interdisciplinary and experienced team from the fields of architecture, timber construction and business management develops innovative, functional and aesthetic SerSan modular approaches that can be applied to existing buildings of the same construction in a scalable manner. Layer Performance
Layer Performance develops software for creating three-dimensional machine paths for conventional, low-cost 3D printers and industrial articulated arm robots. Using this non-planar path planning significantly improves the surface quality and mechanical properties of the manufactured components (increasing component strength and rigidity by up to 341% and 207% respectively and reducing surface roughness by up to 94%). The production of support structures is completely avoided and component material is reduced, which enables lightweight construction applications and saves up to 90% material. Furthermore, our optimized planning algorithms enable a reduction in production time and energy consumption of up to 90% and 96% respectively. Our technology is material-independent: In addition to plastics, metals and wood can also be processed. The cloud-based process preparation software therefore enables the use of additive

Our platform facilitates the collection of relevant property data with the help of computer vision and open data. It provides a funding and legislation database as well as a portfolio of techno-economically parameterized solution options. With the help of our specially developed mathematical optimization model, we create economically optimal investment and operating plans and present them interactively. This quickly and efficiently creates an information basis for investment decisions and more detailed planning steps. In contrast to conventional planning software, which is often limited to individual energy sources, minimum energy offers a holistic and high-resolution optimization of supply systems through the integrated consideration of sector coupling (electricity, heat, mobility). The DatenLabel AI pipeline ensures that AI projects are implemented faster, more effectively and more sustainably. Training AI models is energy-intensive: a model with 213 million parameters generates around 284 tons of CO₂, around five times the life cycle emissions of a US car (including production). Models such as ChatGPT, with 175 billion parameters, illustrate the problem. Avoiding unnecessary training cycles saves immense amounts of CO₂ - a goal to which DatenLabel contributes (SDG 12). Quality assurance is key: poor data leads to weak models and can jeopardize entire projects. Subsequent improvements to data quality often require new, energy-intensive training. DatenLabel offers companies efficient tools for forward-looking AI projects (SDG 9) and has an indirect multiplier effect. Together with our corporate customer, the global market leader in fan manufacturing, we are working intensively to significantly increase the energy efficiency of fans. This optimization could enable individual large end customers to save millions in energy costs every month (SDG 12).
