We are happy to announce that the Green Economy Network North Rhine-Westphalia (KNUW.NRW) will be present at Circular Week 2023 in Poland!
The Circular Week 2023 is an annual conference dedicated to the Circular Economy and is considered one of the most important events of its kind in Poland. The Congress is organized by the Institute for Innovation and Responsible Development (INNOWO) – a long-standing cooperation partner of KNUW – in cooperation with the Masovian Regional Government. The Circular Week is an ideal opportunity to shine a spotlight on the environmental economy of North Rhine-Westphalia and draw attention to the successes and innovations from our region. KNUW will participate from 24-25 October.
The event will mark the end of the networks’ successful Circular Economy Tour. Since April 2021, we have made virtual stops across Europe to share good practices from North Rhine-Westphalia and other European regions of SMEs apply circular approaches to products and processes. Highlight of this tour was the Circular Economy Hotspot in Bottrop in September 2022, where NRW's international successes in the circular economy was presented.
The "ScenCi Game": A playful exploration of circular business models (onsite workshop)
As part of the CE Tour, KNUW developed the interactive "ScenCi Game", which was used for the first time at the Hotspot in Bottrop. This game enables participants to understand the multi-layered aspects of the circular economy and how value chains react to different scenarios. When joining us at the Circular Week in Poland, you will have the opportunity to play the game with us – we are looking forward to seeing you in Warsaw!
Transforming the plastics and packaging industries (online event)
Additionally, one our main tour partners, the Enterprise Europe Network, organises a digital expert exchange as part of the Circular Week in Poland “Circular Economy in Plastics and Packaging” (23rd October, 11am to 12pm).
If you are interested in networking with us or learning more about our work and the Circular Economy in North Rhine-Westphalia, please do not hesitate to contact hagedorn@knuw.nrw.
The event in Poland will mark the end our journey on good circular practices across Europe. Just before the Circular Week in Poland, we will explore the question whether “artificial intelligence is another challenge for companies to keep up speed or a suitable tool for implementing CE even faster?” at the Summit on 19th of October 2023 in Düsseldorf.
